ZooshWolf, and I've been around for a good long time in the fandom, mostly drawing and making furry smut/art. However, I haven't been around the Buffalo area since about 1995. I'm gearing up for a move that way, basically sight unseen into the area, but wanted to know what rural-ish areas may be ideal to look at. it's just me and my dog, starting over on life with a great big adventure.
Any recommendations on a rural setting would be fantastic! And also looking forward to seeing what the Buffalo furry folks are about.
Thanks Dojo and Taka. I'm skulking around and looking from a far right now. Also Newfane and Olcott up north too. Some places look less populated than others - my nearest neighbor for 15 years has been a 1/4 mile away. I had looked at Hamburg and also Amherst previously, too. I appreciate the input and thanks again :)
Newfane, Burt, Olcott, Medina, Gasport.... those places are very nice. Expect a 45+ minute commute into places South of Lockport for work/school if you need to. That generally is the going travel time if you move out past any of the larger suburbs.
As much as I enjoy being within biking distance of everything I need, I would honestly love to move into an area where neighbors are quite far and not really considered a neighbor at that point.
Made it to Hamburg, now to find a place to live that is NOT a hotel. It's very pretty here and was a very nice and pretty drive up 291N. I'm hopeful I get to stay in the area and start meeting furry folks. My doggie seems to like it and that's the important part for me :). I suppose I should inquire if there is anyone in my age range, and in this area looking for a roomie. (35-45). I am housebroken. I like to keep my surroundings tidy. I try not to be a creep!
